Executive Summary

2026 GBP Benchmark Summary

The single most important finding is that raw view counts are the weakest signal of profile health. Sustained visibility growth, a strong interaction rate and consistent review performance predict calls and revenue far better. Use the ranges below as diagnostic starting points, then investigate the drivers behind any metric that sits outside its competitive band.

By Industry

How Benchmarks Shift by Industry

Interaction rate, action mix and review expectations vary widely between sectors. Emergency, food and appointment-driven businesses run hotter; considered-purchase and B2B categories run cooler by design.

Primary actions to watch

Calls, direction requests, menu clicks

High interaction rates are common — searches convert quickly to visits. Photos and recent reviews matter disproportionately.

Scoring Model

Maturity Model

The GBP Performance Maturity Model

1

Level 1 — Unmanaged

Unverified or incomplete profile, wrong categories, no review strategy, little to no visibility.

2

Level 2 — Basic

Verified and mostly complete, but reviews and posts are inconsistent and performance is not measured.

3

Level 3 — Active

Regular reviews and responses, accurate categories and services, some visibility growth month over month.

4

Level 4 — Optimised

Strong interaction rate, consistent review velocity, high response rate and tracked calls and leads.

5

Level 5 — Dominant

Sustained visibility growth, higher review velocity than competitors, strong ratings and consistent owner responses over time.

Step by Step

How to Benchmark Your Profile

STEP 1

Export six months of data

Pull profile views, searches, calls, website clicks and direction requests from Google Business Profile performance.

STEP 2

Record visibility & actions growth

Compare the most recent months against six months ago to establish visibility and customer-action growth.

STEP 3

Calculate interaction rate

Add calls, website clicks and direction requests, then divide by profile views to get your interaction rate.

STEP 4

Assess reviews

Record average rating, review velocity (new reviews per month) and the share of reviews you respond to.

STEP 5

Score the five dimensions

Rate visibility, engagement, conversion, reputation and profile quality to produce an overall performance score.

STEP 6

Prioritise the biggest gaps

Fix the lowest-scoring dimension first — it usually unlocks the most additional calls and leads.

Watch-outs

Common Benchmarking Mistakes

Chasing profile views instead of customer actions and revenue.

Ignoring direction requests and calls as conversion signals.

Leaving reviews unanswered, especially negative ones.

Buying fake reviews instead of building authentic velocity.

Running duplicate or unverified profiles that split visibility.

Choosing the wrong primary category for the core service.

If calls or Maps visibility have dropped, our guides on profiles not showing on Maps, suspension & reinstatement and fake-review removal cover the most common causes.

About the Data

Methodology & Disclaimer

The ranges in this report are diagnostic frameworks, informed by Google Business Profiles Deltanoid manages across India and the GCC together with widely observed public performance patterns. They are deliberately published as ranges rather than single numbers because profile performance varies materially by industry, city, competition and brand awareness.

We do not publish fabricated or unverifiable proprietary statistics. Client-level figures are shown only where permission exists; otherwise all data is aggregated or anonymised. The interactive calculator computes ratios purely from the numbers you enter and stores nothing.
